Deploy wordpress on AWS ubunut machine - setup ftp

I need WP installed on a ubuntu machine as well as FTP to the root directory. Then we need to deploy a backup of a previous WP site and the db, in the db i have is SQL and from what i am told we need to make a find/replace for the url names in SQL.
Once done i need ftp setup so we can get to the root WP directory.
