Access Form Assistance

I have an access form with a combo box. When the user is selected from the combo box - the field userID & userName should be populated, this works.
The issue I am having is that IF data already exists in the table then the data should be populated in the bound fields on the form. If no data exists then nothing should be displayed. How should this be set-up in this database?
