Logo Creation: Baseball Event

I need a logo for a baseball event in Switzerland. The result should be an editable Adobe Illustrator file using free fonts.
The logo should be a well balanced mix of traditional elements (like old fashioned baseball signs or logos) and a modern and smooth look & feel. The hosting city should be represented in the logo (in example using the outline of the skyline). Additionally the logo should represent the “green” or “ecological” concept of the event.
I would like to get at least three sketches to choose from and might need some rounds of review and fine tuning.
