Redesign a Logo for a Progressive Rock band

I need to redesign a logo for an Argentinian Progressive Rock Band called 'Experiencia De Caer' that is starting to gig. I look for a B&W logo, with a color version. It should be compatible with all digital and physical mediums. It may have an Isotype, a Logotype, or both.
The logo should convey an agressive but sofisticated feel at the same time, because the band has both. It sounds metal and powerful, and it sounds harmonic and colorful. It has orchestral arrangements, folk sounds, harsh and sweet voices depending on the song. It may have details, adding to the complexity, but it should look clean and professional.
Songs speak about the revelation of the absolute, obtained through inner deconstruction, about the paradoxes of being eternal and being limited at the same time, about epiphanies, revelations and trials of a truth seeker. At the same time it may speak about things about the relative world, stories. It may just evoke images of onirical places.
ACTUAL LOGO:
Our main idea was to merge 'Experiencia De Caer' initials, creating the dual possiblity of reading it as 'EDC' and 'EX' at the same time. We are open to other ideas though.
