Main requirements
- Package needs to install to base/default
- Package name SNH_CheckoutCoupon
- 100% compatibility with our theme Queldorei Shopper
- Use Jquery from Queldorei Shopper
- Result = Packaged so I can install separately
- Code compatible with Magento 1.8.1
- Think about responsiveness / test op iphone + ipad
For programming
- Step 1 => Set totals table phtml to match Magento 1.8.1
- Step 2 => remove jquery insertion, or make optional
- Step 3 => Set jquery JS in frontend file
- Step 4 => Set phtml to process the ajax request, set coupon code, return totals table phtml from step 1
- Test!
What should it do?
- Show coupon code box in last step of checkout (see below)
- OnEnter, OnSubmit, OnClick on button should send ajax call
o to validate coupon code + apply
o if success, then confirm + apply to totals table
o if error, show error
- After success there is a button to cancel
- Current problems with code
o Does not use Jquery 1.8.x from Queldorei Shopper theme
o Reloads page OnEnter = wrong
o JS Jquery code not optimized
o JS Jquery code not optimized for Jquery 1.8.x from Queldorei Shopper
o Check that extension uses magento 1.8.1 phtml output
o Input box too wide on iphone + ipad (needs to be made a little responsive), max-width: 250px, width: 98%
