Book Editor for Long-Term Partnership

We are looking for a diligent editor to lead our self-development and summary book efforts. More importantly, we are looking for an editor who can capture different writers’ tones and voices in a variety of different book genres. Least to say, the final product must have proper punctuation and be free from grammatical, spelling and factual errors.
The workflow is predicted to be 1 - 3 books per month at first with possibilities of further expansion. We expect the turnaround time to be 2 - 4 days for books ranging between 10,000 - 25,000 words. Our starting rate will be between $0.60 per 100 words; therefore, 10,000 words = $60. Pay raise is possible with strong performance.
We care about our readers and the quality of their reading experience. Naturally, we care for our editors and provide them with a comfortable environment with clear guidelines and resources to ensure their best work.
To apply for the position you must meet the following criteria:
• Have mastery of the English language – you are or can pass as a native speaker/writer. Skills include but are not limited to: perfect spelling, grammar and punctuation, versatility in word choice, voice, tone and writing style
• Have worked on large projects in the past with several milestones
• Meet deadlines and communicate in a timely manner
• Provide examples of previous work
• Be able to prepare and/or give final check-off in .doc format for platform-specific publishing - primarily Amazon KDP and Createspace. However, if not familiar with KDP or Createspace, must willing to learn and master new formatting guidelines
• **Specific to summary books: Editor must be able to read original book quickly, capture each chapter’s essence, and find any misalignments with our summary book
• Optional: Provide contact to previous employers as a reference
Questions to keep in mind:
1. How long have you been editing books/eBooks?
2. How quickly can you reasonably edit a 20,000-word summary book in outstanding quality?
3. Do you have experience in formatting eBooks and physical books?
4. What is your highest level of education? Can you provide proof?
5. Can you include a sample of your previous editing work? Please attach/send a work sample before and after your editing touch.
