We have a requirement for setting up CMS News page in Classical ASP, so that a client can add NEWS in the form of Text, Images and Videos to their website, from a Control Panel, located in a protected folder.
The Control Panel skin layout is already in place.
What we require is some form of rich text formatting system so that we can let the client format the text. We currently use Tiny_Mce to control the text formatting, but since it is partly PHP based it sometimes falls over on a Windows server. So would really require an ASP or pure Javascript text formatting script, if possible.
Apart from the Rich text, we also require to have the ability on the form to Upload up to 6 images (jpeg, gif or png) as well as 3 videos (flv format). You must be familiar with Persits ASP Upload from [url removed, login to view]
The client will also need to Edit any previously entered data, as well as Deleting any old data.
This must be written in Classic ASP and must have the option of connecting to either an Access database or a SQL database.
Alot of the work has been done on a similar project, in Classic ASP, but the developer for that project has moved on, but much of the code and all the layouts can be re-used for this NEWS project.
We require the work to be completed within 7 days maximum, but I would think this should only take a few hours work for a competent ASP writer.
Whoever is accepted for the job, so long as they do a good job, will have the chance for many other small projects that we have a regular requirement for.
