Automator or Applescript help with PDF Creation and Automation

I think this is going to be written in Applescript.

I'm looking for help with automatically creating links in a PDF that is created from Excel. Essentially, we have a table of contents on page 1 or pages 1 & 2. These are essentially chapter names. I'd like clickable page links to the appropriate page in the PDF created automatically.

From there, I need some basic file copying and renaming.... all simple things created with applescript.
