I require market research into the size of players in the SMS Application to Person (A2P) market. These companies enable organisations to send text messages to their customers, stakeholders and employees. Common uses are reminders, alerts, payment requests, passwords, etc. We are not so interested in players which focus on SMS marketing.

The goal of this project is to build up a view of the largest players around the world.

Twilio is the largest player although they also provide voice and other services. Unlike Twilio, most other players offer web apps in addition to APIs for developers to utilise - to send messages.

Please note: The research should not include aggregators who are wholesale suppliers of SMS capacity (e.g. Mblox, Dialogue, CLX). However, some aggregators have divisions that supply directly to organisations and these can be included (though ideally the volumes attributed to them should not include their wholesale volumes).

Required

A list of key players in each market, with the following data for each of the players (highest priority items first):

1. Volume of messages sending per month or year

2. Number of clients

3. Key countries they operate in, ideally showing volumes per key country

If data is not recent then please show dates.

Number of items

The research should cover the top 30 global players. Key players include (but should not be limited to):

North America: Twilio, Nexmo, OpenMarket, Clickatell, Callfire/Club Texting Group

Europe: Infoblip, FortyTwo, CM Group, Essendex, SIT mobile, SAP.

South America: Tedexis, Zenvia.

Pacific: MessageMedia, Run the Red, Burst SMS, Broadcast SMS

Asia: VivaConnect, Tanla, 21Vianet.

There are other key players not in this list, some of which target non-English languages.

Deliverables

Results need to be recorded in a format suitable for analysis (i.e. Microsoft Excel .xlsx or compatible .cvs/.ods).

Referencing

It is absolutely critical that all information is referenced. Sources should be numbered with a title, source locations, and an offline copy provided (.zip file of items in a suitable format, with .pdf files of webpages). Phone calls to ascertain facts are acceptable, but please quote times, dates and person's name that you spoke to.

Any derived data points should be highlighted, with the key assumptions listed.
