This project will need to be completed by either a team or a couple of people who are only working on this project. Technically this is a small project and needs to be executed professionally. My background is 15 years of IT and my expectation is to work with development team who are well versed with SDLC. Team should be able to execute tasks with minimal guidance. I am looking for a partner, not only for this project, but for future enhancements, production support, new projects, producing creative graphics etc. There are ample opportunities in the pipeline, therefore place the bid taking all these into consideration.
Alright, so now let’s come to the real deal. This project is for custom made shoes, just like following players are already doing it; [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], etc. My inclination is more towards [login to view URL] with better functionality of [login to view URL], and flexibility of boombah.com.
Customer should be able to design their shoes on 3D Shoe Designer. They should be able to dynamically choose material, styles, embellishments, etc. Below are detail requirements.
3D Shoe Designer Requirements
• Choose a shape of shoe to start designing from minimum of 12 basic shapes
• Choose shoe materials, style, type of heel, extra embellishments
• Materials for various part of shoe, for e.g. front of the shoe can have different material than back of the shoe, etc. Restriction on material selection based on part of shoe.
• Style of the shoe, for e.g. choose round toe instead of open toe, choose back open, etc. Other styles should display if Customer wishes to change shoe style.
• Heel of the shoe, for e.g. 1" heel or 3" heel or 6" heel
• Extra embellishments on the shoe, for e.g. bow or flower on front or back
• Material swatch on shoe should change as customer is hovering mouse over the material panel to making a selection, like in [login to view URL]
• Customer should be able to enter message to engrave on shoes in a textbox
• Select Size/Quantity during customizing shoes
General Requirements:
• 3D Designer should fit in tablet screens
• Save multiple snapshot/photo of designed shoes
• Upload pictures for desired sandals, like [login to view URL]
• Undo' button
• Material, style, heel, extra embellishments will affect pricing, for e.g. Price will change if Customer chooses leather material instead of silk
• Pricing should be visible to customer as they are designing shoes
• Customer should be able to track progress of their custom made shoes
• Customer Support capability with chat feature
• Customer communication/messaging should happen on the portal
Shopping Cart functionality
• Designed shoe should be visible during checkout
• Wish list where customers can save their designed shoes
• Shipping method choices as express, flat rate, etc.
• Promotional coupon code entry for discounts
• Rewards points functionality for repeat customers
Administrator should have capabilities to:
• Change look and feel of webstore
• In 3D designer, add or delete categories for material, style, heel, extra embellishments.
o Material will have minimum 15 categories
o Style will have minimum 5 categories
o Heel will have minimum 5 categories
o Extra embellishments will have minimum 10 categories
• Add or delete swatches under categories
• Add or delete pages
• Add or change prices on every swatch, which will dynamically affect pricing as Customer is designing shoe
I should have administrator rights to TEST and PRODUCITON instances, whereas development will work on DEVELOPMENT instance. Any code migration to PRODUCTION should involve regression testing. Project Plan should be developed before commencing work, with agreed upon milestones. I have tried to be as detailed as possible in detailing above requirements, but there might be 10% scope change, which should be built in the bid.
All in all, this is a fun project and I would like to work with an enthusiastic team at the earliest.
