Hello! Are you good at making funny cartoons on the computer? Can you take a picture and make it cartoonish and funny? Do you have a sense of humor? If so, we could use your help!
PLEASE READ THE INFO BELOW BEFORE QUOTING:
We are expanding our AngryApps series of apps into using funny cartoon animals, and we are looking for Illustrator and digital artists to help create animals for our AngryApps series of iPhone/iPad apps!
Here's how it works:
1. You start with an animal image that you create. The starting animal image should look normal / happy.
2. The animal goes through 7 levels of angriness - from the base image to the angriest level. At its angriest, the animal should look crazy, funny angry. Each of these angriness levels is an edited image.
3. For each level (1-7) there are three actions. Each of these actions would have two animation images that play with a sound (don't worry, we take care of the sound part - you just supply the images).
We will assign you an animal and work with you to determine the actions / animations once selected.
Here's a video that might demonstrate better using animals from a previous app of ours:
[url removed, login to view] The app in the video used photos, while the app you are quoting for will use cartoon illustrations, NOT PHOTOS.
We get final approval over the animal selected and the images you create from it as we need to make sure it works within the app. That being said, we like using artists who are willing to take some creative freedoms, so feel free and suggest images to use and send examples. Be prepared for feedback and adjustments from us during the process.
(You will only be providing the images - we take care of the application that interacts with and animates them, the sounds, etc).
QUOTING A PRICE
THE QUOTE SHOULD BE FOR A SINGLE (1) ANIMAL AND ALL RELATED IMAGES. If your initial animal image set works out, we are willing to form a long-term relationship with bonuses for multiple animal sets. Images must be supplied as PNGs as well as the source vector files.
We would like to see an example image (thumbnail or watermarked is fine) with the original animal image and your idea of an "angry" version of the animal. We are not looking for final, usable artwork, just something so we can make sure you understand the job.

We have additional apps ongoing and in the works with similar needs, so if your work is satisfactory, expect ongoing similar assignments. We have need for multiple artists, so more than one will likely be selected for the project.
I put together the attached PDF to further help explain what we are looking for (the PSD uses images as an example, but we would be looking for the same concept with illustration).
