After completing her studies, Leigh worked as a product designer and developer at Carrol Boyes functional art for 15 years. She honed her skills by working under Carrol, who taught her the importance of attention to detail, quality, and customer satisfaction. She developed new products and learned from the best in the industry, becoming an expert in the field of product design and development. Leigh worked with various materials, such as stainless steel, pewter, glassware, ceramics, furniture and aluminum sculpture. She also set trends in the homeware and décor industry in South Africa and abroad. In 2023, Leigh decided to pursue her dream of starting her own jewellery business. She founded Julee.art, a company that specializes in creating one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces that reflect her unique vision and expert craftsmanship. Her goal is to create jewellery that is not only beautiful but also meaningful and personal to the wearer.
