WebWave Australia is running a competition for Freelance Designers to see who can build the best responsive website template suitable for a professional trades services business. Example: Plumbers and Electricians.

The website must be created using WebWave Website Builder. The winning entry will be added to our library of existing website templates. The winning designer will also earn ongoing commission paid into their WebWave Account each time their template is chosen and connected to one of our Premium Hosting plans.

Design Parameters

Must be designed using WebWave Website Builder.
Contestants can create their free design account by signing up at webwave.com.au.
The design must be original, modification of an existing WebWave or competitors template will result in disqualification. Contestants must start by choosing a blank page.
The website template must be suitable for desktop, tablet, mobile landscape and mobile portrait viewports.
The design must have a minimum of 5 pages and a maximum of 10 pages.
Images can be sourced from our built in image library.
Lorum Ipsum text can be used for paragraph content.

Submitting Your Template

Once you are ready to submit your final site design, publish the final version (this is free under the subdomain webwave.dev) and send us the unique URL of your site before the contest ends. Your published domain will look something like lmnptty.webwave.dev and is generated by our system.

You can publish your site as many times as you need to for live browser checking, but do not send us your website link until your design is final. We will be time stamping your submission. Any changes to your site after the competition closes will result in your entry being withdrawn.

Please do not delete your website until we have announce the winning entry which should be within 24-48 hours of the competition closing time depending on the number of entries that we have to judge.

  Hello Muhammad. Our competition brief was very clear. The template design was to contain a minimum of 5 pages and a maximum of 10 pages. The design was to suit an Electrician/Plumber/Trades based business. The goal of our competition was to let each designer present what they thought was the best design for a website template. So the direction of the design was totally up to you.

Designers can earn up to $10 USD each time one of their templates is chosen by a user and connected to a paid plan hosted on WebWave.

Part of this contest is to assess your ability as a designer to work on our platform. Our brief is clear, your template must be built using WebWave. Once you are happy with your entry publish it and send us the URL so we may identify it and check your work for final judging. This is a competition and not a project.   You can work with any 3rd party graphics program that you like to work up your design. However, you must build the site in WebWave under your own Free Account. The site must be then published under our free hosting to generate your unique site URL that you will need to reference when submitting Your entry. You can drag and drop page elements anywhere in the WebWave page canvas to an accuracy of 1px and layer. If you are used to working in Figma you will have no problem using WebWave.
