We require 2 new labels for our new Manuka Honey brand. Waru (Means No. 8 in New Zealand Maori) will be a label used exclusively in Mainland China. The target audience will include businessmen in marketing/management roles buying as gifts and wealthy women shopping for the family or for gifts. Most Manuka honey labels are very boring and generic (apart from our other label, Taku Honey). Therefore we need to stand out from the rest. We want to emphasise quality, authenticity and class along with the purity of its New Zealand origin. Gift packaging will need to be designed to compliment the label as well.

No Chinese language should be added as it will detract from its New Zealand origin.

There are compulsory graphics that will need to be on the label. Examples have been uploaded. These can be altered in size and placement to fit. Fonts changes are allowable however arial or a similar plain font should be used on the Nutrition Information table.

The guides on the templates represent the shoulders of the jars.

EAN-13 barcodes will need to be applied so leave adequate room.

A template has been uploaded showing compulsory information. For this project we will just need a label for one variety/grade of Manuka Honey - UMF 15+. The text on the label can be transferred across to the new label, resized, relocated and new fonts used as required.

We will require a blank area measuring 1.5cm square and another 12mm x 25mm on both labels. These blank areas must be on the same panel on the jar.

The 500gm label covers 3 sides. The 250gm label will wrap around all sides. This was required to fit all of the necessary information.

Brand name: Waru Honey
Variety: Mānuka Honey UMF 15+

Slogans such as "Not all honey is created equally", "100% Pure New Zealand Honey", "Pure New Zealand Goodness" etc etc should be used to emphasise quality and origin.

Hi guys, yes the a.i file is empty. However this is the size of the label. Hopefully the guides show that represent where the shoulders of the jars are. I'm afraid no one has come close to impressing me yet, I am very fussy and a real perfectionist. I designed the previous label for Taku Honey (trained on YouTube videos) so I'm expecting a lot. I find this unrespectable!! i used a specific BEE sketch for my own design. and now i see that someone else used it also. I know that everything in the net is free to use, but personally if i saw that some contestant already used that image i wouldnt use it also next to him!! But that is me i suppose...I am just repeating that i thought there were ethics in the profession...

I personally think that the ethics of a good designer is not to copy others..especially if they are participate in the same contest! I think that in the internet there are many icons, or symbols, or images that you can use instead of taking someone else's image and use it for your self!!!! And i repeat in the same contest!!!!
