Guidelines for Artwork and Visual Narrative of Brand Packaging

The artwork we are looking for is for a new product business. The branding will play on the Pop-Art/Comic esthetic. We will place these designs on the front and back and sides of the packaging, a coffee bag of 10.5 inches high x 3.5 inches wide. Sides are 2.5 inches wide.


The basic narrative concept

● We will have 7 characters. Each character will have his/her own bag.
● We think of our characters as 50s/60s Comic Heros or Villains. But this is not to say that they are wearing superhero clothes or villain’s costumes or have superpowers or super technology. They are regular people we meet in various roles in modern life. They are super good at and powerful in what they do…
● Each bag will feature the character in two different scenes or poses.
● These two different scenes will be featured respectively on the front and back of bags.
● One side will feature the character in his/her “superhero mode” and the other will feature the character in a more “human/vulnerable mode”.
○ For example: The Boss Lady character features a woman who is a business executive, running a large company or office. She is in control, she runs the ship and crew.
○ The front panel will show her in her power element, being a boss lady in the office.
○ The back panel will show her at home playing monopoly with her two children and losing to them really badly! She is defeated, her hair is disheveled, she is bewildered, etc.

● This concept of the two different sides to each character is part of the central narrative of our branding. We think of our characters as Retro/Vintage Comic Book villains or superheroes who have alternate egos and lives in which they are vulnerable and not typically powerful.

Below, I will elaborate on each of the characters and how they appear on their respective fronts and backs of the packaging:

    Hello Ch. would you consider increasing the prize? you are asking for 14 full scenes with multiple characters in a very time consuming art style. plus another 14 side panel objects. it should be at least triple of what you are offering if you want high end designs. otherwise i afraid you may get a lot of underwhelming entries.
