Golden Trowel 40-year logo:

We are looking to create a nice logo design to commemorate the 40th anniversary of our annual golf competition (The Golden Trowel) between us (MC Construction) and another company (Marston & Grundy Structural Engineers)
The final logo will be used on various merchandise from golfing polo shirts to towels to potentially golf balls so from larger to small.
The colour of the trowel (see rough sketch) is really the only thing we need to ensure stays the same in that the blade of the trowel up to and including the ‘shank’ is of a ‘gold’ colour metallic if possible? And the handle brown.
The rest of the logo can be any colour / colours but be mindful that the more colours there are on the logo the more expensive it will cost to reproduce, especially if its embroidered.
The information listed below must be on the logo, however we are happy for suggestions on the way it is set out, type face etc.

Finally I was also thinking that the background may suit a golf ball type effect, however this is just my opinion and this may make the logo too ‘busy’ ?
