I am looking for a logo for my kids go-kart race team.

It needs to encompass a few elements, some are mandatory, some not. I will leave it up to you to see what works best.

1) The race team is called Zain Ikram Racing.
2) His race number: 21 - The 21 is representative of his initials ZI, however the logo does not need to use the 21 as ZI - but its an option if you can make it work.
3) A homage to both the UK and Canada, because he was born in England and now lives in Canada. So maybe include a hybrid Union Jack Flag and Canadian Flag. Example: a flag that covers the whole background but is rippled, like 3d, and starts off as the Union Flag and finishes as the Canadian Flag, like a blend
4) A racing theme - examples : chequers, Sprocket, Piston, Tire tracks/skid marks, steering wheel, helmet, wrench, pair or wrenches as flagpoles for the flags.

The racing theme is subjective and not mandatory. A great logo with no race theme can still win, if it looks special enough. I don't want it too obvious or contrived. A kart on a flag with wrenches would have to look exceptional to win, with it being so obvious. Style is far more important.

I want the logo to be scalable so it can go on his clothing, his kart and on the trailer etc. It needs to be unique and exciting, as he is a 11 year old child, but it should not be childish as he will be racing for years.

Criteria - The winner will be Stylish, Timeless, Eye Catching, Unique and Scalable.

Also - this needs to work for both a black background and a white background

Hello everyone. Thanks for the excellent entries so far. I wanted to clarify a few things: (i) I forgot to mention in the original brief, that this logo needs to work on a black and a white background, if it can only work on one background, choose a black one (ii) the elements are not all mandatory, as some designers have shown, omitting the flags or the themes, does not mean the logo cannot work. Use your discretion (iii) please ensure you can supply all the usual file types, PDF, JPG, PNG. Plus if theres EPS or AI let me know, thanks
