The EEVS head office is running a competition to design a new logo for the company and is calling for all interested designers worldwide to take part in this contest.

Please read the following information carefully.

EEVS existing logo consists of two elements:

The image with a graduate hat, global, book (with EEVS engraving) and the tagline ‘Rely on Experts’
The name ‘Expert Education & Visa Services’

These two elements combined together form the complete logo and appear in two forms: horizontal and vertical. Currently, five versions of the logo are available: primary, reversed-out white, mono reversed-out white, mono-blue and mono-grey.

The use of all logos is restricted as per the logo guidelines. The primary logos are the preferred version (with horizontal format preferred over vertical as space permits) with blue as the primary colour.
The need for a new logo

EEVS has been using its existing logo since its inception. The operation started in Australia and spread its branches in Nepal in the initial phase. The global presence has now reached to 13 countries including South Asian, East Asian, South-East Asian and African regions.

The existing logo is easily identifiable in the South Asian region, which is our current primary market. With the expansion into new regions and territories, a need has been identified to update our logo to give it a modern and fresh look to be easily identifiable and memorable across the globe. The new logo is expected to connect us with new audiences while maintaining our current client base.
What we are looking for

As our logo is widely recognised, the current logo’s best elements and colour must be incorporated in the new one to keep that connection and help clients make a smoother transition to the new design.

The new design would reflect our image as a trusted global education provider and symbolise trust, expertise, knowledge and experience.

Following points are to be noted when designing the logo:

Incorporate primary characteristics and best elements of the current logo. It is advised to keep the blue colour theme which is our corporate colour. Designers are free to explore different shades of the existing corporate blue colour.
Develop a feature symbol/character which identifies Expert Education (E.g. Westpac Bank’s ‘W’, McDonald’s ‘Golden Arch’, Commonwealth Bank’s ‘Diamond’ and Nike’s ‘Swoosh’). Designers are to keep the cultural sensitivity in mind when creating a design.
The logo should be mobile devices and tablet friendly.

Design submission guideline

The contest closes at 5:00 pm on 30 November 2020 AEDT

Each designer can submit a maximum of two different designs of the logo.
The files must be uploaded in ‘jpg’, ‘png’ or ‘pdf’ formats.

Terms and conditions

The designs submitted must be the original work of the person submitting the design. It must not be copied from other sources and should not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity.
EEVS Logo Selection Committee will have the sole discretion to choose the winner.
EEVS will have full rights to the logos submitted in the competition, and they cannot be re-used for any other purpose/companies.
EEVS reserves the right to adapt, modify or edit the winning logo in part or as a whole in a manner deemed appropriate by the company.
EEVS reserves the right to use any submissions for promotional purposes in the future.
If the winner is found to have violated the competition rules, s/he will be required to return the prize even if the findings are made after the prize has been awarded.
EEVS Logo Selection Committee is not liable to choose a winner if satisfactory designs are not produced in the competition.

Competition prize

The competition prize money has been finalized as AUD 101 and will be handed over to the winning designer. There are no other prizes to be distributed.
