Looking for someone who is familiar with Medieval/Orthodox Christian/Byzantine style). I cannot emphasize enough the importance of getting an excellent replica of this style of art; I want to avoid at all costs the finished product looking cartoon-like. Preferable if you have a fine arts background.

As a condition of the project, I will need to see the artist demonstrate his/her ability to do this kind of art before we award the project (i.e., through original samples). Also, the budget is negotiable, commiserate with the quality of the artist.

Clarification: I'd like to do a painting of a Buddhist deity in the Byzantine style. The image of the Buddhist deity will be provided, but needs to be modified to fit the style. Hence it would require some familiarity with this field. Digital or traditional, I don't mind but I would prefer digital, yes.

Hi all, evidently from the responses this has received, and the fact I was unaware this project had been converted into a contest, my unfamiliarity with Freelancer's process really shows.
