A British Army veteran and, a part qualified ACCA (CCAB), an MSc. Finance (Finance & International Banking) graduate with Distinction, an Accounting Graduate with 1st Class Hons. Possessing over 5 years’ experience within Transport for London (TfL) and 4½ years’ experience gained whilst serving in the British Army, HM Armed Forces UK in land and abroad during operations as well as peace-keeping tours and in private sector with excellent teamwork, communication, problem-solving and impressive stakeholders management skills, now seeking to start a career in finance / accountancy with a modern and forward-looking organisation like Transport for London.
• Ability to support the monitoring, analysing, reporting and assessment of the financial data and performance of an organisation and interrogate complex financial issues in order to take decisions – worked in a project very closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and other senior finance managers.
• Ability to effectively present financial information to all levels with preparing journals entries, cash and inter-fund transfers, bank reconciliations, collecting raw financial data and dealing with financial irregularities as they arise, mastered this during a project in working closely with the finance business partner.
• Ability to present financial data and information using a plain language and in an understandable manner as demonstrated during many projects, interpreted financial information from financial statements to non-financial audience and stakeholder without using any accounting and finance jargons during my BSc. in Accounting and MSc, in Finance studies.
• Highly proficient with extensive knowledge in MS office (specially Excel) and IT skills - Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as being highly experienced in using ORACLE and SAP ERP with good working knowledge of the databases, acquired during the service in the British Army and TfL, familiarity with Python (self-learning).
