I have thrived in my journalist career during my five years working in a Sydney-based B2B market-leading publication. I started as a journalist in 2005 and later on was promoted to editor role due to my outstanding performance and my capabilities.
Over the five years, I have developed strong journalistic skills across the board from idea generating to research conducting and from news reporting to feature writing. I have also gained extensive knowledge about the business, finance and legal industry, as well as and the leading players in the Australasian market. Capital markets, private equity, M&A, international trade, IP and dispute resolution, among others, are the practice areas I am mostly familiar with and frequently write about. I can provide a portfolio of my published work upon request.
In addition to editorial responsibilities, other areas where I have gained solid experience include: conducting marketing activities via emails and e-newsletters, maintaining websites through a content management system, event organisation and client relationship development.
While I am a competent journalist in English, my specialisation lies in my ability to grasp the market trends and industry development in Asia, particularly in Greater China (Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan), which is an increasingly important, highly dynamic, vastly interesting but, at the same time, a very difficult market to work in. I excel at my role as the China editor with my native language ¬– Chinese and my understanding of the Chinese business culture and mentality.
Please consider me for any suitable projects. I would relish the opportunity to use my expertise to facilitate the business and marketing needs of your organisation.
