Always striving to be the best at what I do, and always looking for new challenges. One only improves by challenging oneself.
Currently working on my Multimedia Master's degree at FEUP, I work as a freelancer or task-worker in either of the fields described.
I have a wide array of interests and work areas, spanning from audio/sound work to design and programming.
As far as audio/sound goes, I specialize in sound synthesis and digital sound processing, and have great experience working with so-called building blocks DSP (MAX/MSP, Pure Data and Reaktor), as well as developing VST plugins with specialized IDEs (Flowstone and others). Started working with procedural audio in early 2014, with particular interest about it's integration and use in videogames as a mechanism for generating interactive content.
I also have extensive experience in the field of music recording, mixing and mastering and working with music/sound for movies and audiovisual, as well as videogames.
As a developer I work mainly with web technologies, mostly as a frontend developer, with some incursions into backend implementation. I have extensive experience with Wordpress customization, from simple blog sites to full-on corporate custom implementations.
I am at home working with PHP, MySQL, Actionscript, jQuery, CSS3, HTML5, Python, Visual Basic and C++. I have pretty decent experience in programming for the Arduino platform, as well as creating the electronic circuits that go with it, and I also am at beginner level programming for Android.
I'm a beginner/intermediate game developer, focusing mainly (at the moment) on 2D games developed with Unity / C#.
I can create illustrations by hand or digitally, as well as do photo retouching and compositing, icon design and have experience designing User Interfaces and UI elements for audio plugins and websites (as you can see in my online portfolio). I also have experience in 3D low-poly modelling and texturing, aimed at games.
