Hello! My company is looking to hire a few passionate and experienced writers who cares about their craft and wants to move people with stories. Not only are we looking for talent, but we’re interested in fostering a long-term relationship with the writers we hire. If you are interested in a steady, month-to-month job with a growing company who treats their writers right (competitive pay, bonuses and strong working relationship), then we might be the right fit for you. Not only are we looking for an outstanding artist, but for writers who holds quality at the highest level. One thing we’re a stickler about is deadlines. Before continuing, please be honest with yourself and with us. We can’t work with people who don’t meet deadlines. Please don’t apply if this is you. A little bit about us: We write steamy, contemporary, fun and sexy, spunky romance. Our books are trope driven, i.e., bad boy, fake marriage, boy next door, billionaire etc. We offer a steady stream of work, an in-house creative team to help with every aspect from plotting, editing, intimate scene creation, etc. All our books include steamy scenes, so make sure you’re aware of that when you apply. If this is something you’re not comfortable writing (explicit erotic scenes sprinkled through our love stories). Here’s what we’re looking for in our writers: •Native English speaking, contemporary romance fiction writer. Able to complete 60k per month with a weekly submission of 15k minimum. If you are able to write more, then the opportunity for you to make more is available. •Able to take direction and implement edits. We know exactly what we want. Like with any job, we're going to work with you on this, and expect to see you grow as a writer with us. •NO PLAGIARISM. No old ideas and nothing shared with a previous client. We take legal action in these scenarios. •Able to complete professional, chapter-by-chapter plot outlines. We will provide the themes and tropes. •Accessible and communicative. Don’t leave us hanging without a word from you. Lastly, please let us know your turn around time for 80K, as well as your current rate. We also pay bonuses which can be discussed during the interview. We’d love to see a few sexy, fun samples from your own romance writing as part of your submission. Please start your proposal with the phrase 'Red Owl' so that it's clear you read the entire post. If you're selected, you will be given a writing prompt to complete a 5k sample for $50. This allows us to see if the voice is a good fit. If that is approved, you'll move on to the interview - this must be a voice call so we can get a feel for who you are and whether you're a good fit for the company. An 80 k story would probably take me about a month at the most. I have completed 20 k stories in 3 days but it was very stressful.
