Travel Agent Website Enhancement

I. Introduction To enable offline travel agents to book OurGuest properties and tours directly from the website (and later on mobile app) instead of calling us. With the tool we want to equip the travel agent with unique properties at a very competitive rate than in popular online travel portals. Such an OurGuest extranet will make it much easier for offline travel agents to coordinate with us and book our properties. It will also reduce the number of calls that we get from travel agents for our properties. It will help us scale up faster when we add additional properties and reach out to more travel agents. 1. What is the problem we are trying to solve? Currently, Travel Agents have to call various rural properties/homestays to book the inventory. Many times the response time from the property owners for the bookings is more than 48 hours. Due to this, many travel agents lose customers or they shift their customer booking to hotels which gives a much faster response. Hence it is difficult for agents to work with homestays. Also, it is difficult for travel agents to scout and find homestays in different parts. Hence, lot of homestays find it difficult to reach out to travel agents across India 2. How are we solving this problem? We are creating a travel agent website for travel agents to book homestays online. The inventory will be live on the website. We will be providing a mobile application to the homestay owner for keeping live inventory. The host will use the mobile application to update the room inventory which is stored in our central database and the same DB is used by Website, the Travel agent website and also the API of channel manger to get update from OTAs (Online Travel agents like [login to view URL], AirBnb, etc). This will be the platform where the travel agents will find many homestays on the same place.
