I am writing a book on learning the violin. It will have photographs of right and left hands to show the student the proper position of the wrist and fingers. A photograph is very impersonal for this type of learning. The student will engage much better with a hand drawn version of the photograph. Drawing can be in pencil or in ink, but good detail is important. I want it to look like a good drawing, but not so good that the student cannot tell the difference between the drawing and the photo from which it was made. I will have about 20 photographs.

I have studied the anatomy of the hand through art in order to improve my portrait work and understanding of human anatomy.
