I am a freelance software engineer.
But my side projects (which started as a hobby years ago) always included 3D design, modeling, rendering, animation, composing, 3D printing, 3D scanning and photography.
I started with 3D Studio Max (with raster work done with Photoshop) but then gradually moved to free software. Now I work with Blender3D (full cycle: modeling, rendering, animation and NLE) + GIMP (textures and CG for videos).
I've attended some art classes (old school non-digital art). However I find drawing and painting less fun than modeling.
I feel very confident about most tasks that can be accomplished with Blender. I'm less experienced in organic modeling than parametric/technological objects.
What I am looking for is getting really professional with 3D art so I can move completely from software development to 3D design and video editing.
As we talk about internship I realise there's no or little budget.
So for a start I suggest that you assign a testing task for me without a budget. And I'll deliver the render at no cost (as an exam project) so that you could estimate my fit.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you have further questions or suggestions.
Thank you!
Regards,
Eugene
