I might be the perfect fit for this project. I have a degree in architecture from UC Berkeley and am actually in the middle of transitioning from architecture into industrial design. Product design also happens to be one of my core strengths. My 3D modeling program of choice is Rhino3D with tsplines and my rendering program of choice is Vray. I also favor Photoshop and Illustrator. While these are the programs I might use due to my thinking they're the best, you shouldn't think of that as a restriction. Conversion is the easy part. As a product designer, i will give the product a complete justification and research through the physical form i create. I will keep in mind the ergonomics, uses, everyday wear and tear, life of the product, suggest other material that might help to highlight the aesthetic or structure of the product; for example adding a flexible material to the opening/closing points to extend the life of the product. I will iterate with hand sketches, digital iterations and then come up with a final design.
