My experience with injection molded part design will be very helpful. I will be able to suggest parting lines and draft angles for the injection mold design. I can also evaluate the design, and make suggestions to help lower the mold construction costs. Without seeing you current drawings I cannot comment on the moldability of you design, but I would suggest that the first phase of your project would be to evaluate the design. Injection molds can be very expensive depending on part complexity, material, mold life and production rate. Tooling costs are sometimes cost prohibitive and mold rework is costly and time consuming. I have Solidworks plastics and can also help with mold flow analysis which will help prevent rework or molding issues like sink marks, weld lines and blush. If chosen for this project I would propose the following milestones 1) Evaluate drawings for moldability, and make suggestions for parting lines and draft angles with the goal of minimizing mold actions and therefore tooling costs. Based on these suggestions, you can then decide to continue to phase 2 or go to redesign. 2) Model parts per drawings assuming no changes are deemed necessary. 3) Make final adjustments to models per your input. Please note that design intent and tolerancing cannot be conveyed though an IGES or STEP file, completed inspection drawings are normally needed. Lastly I do have some 3d printing capability needed, though this is beyond the scope of this proposal.
