This might be seen by yourself as a hard-technical sell, it might be seen as a utilisation of existing contacts and trust – It is neither my concern nor issue how you sell, every good salesperson is unique / my experience there is no one right way

Your job is the sale which is to set up and manage the client relationship – mine and the people I bring is with delivery

You can see me or define me as technical or delivery of a service, what I’m not is a salesman and so I come from it from that viewpoint or lens of delivery

‘What service do you provide what functions what is its USP etc’ I guess you can map out that pitch not me – for me it’s always different and it depends as I said I’m an engineer – you create the story something simple something that people can believe in so that buy as the reality is always a lot more complex in my experience it involves change

Someone who will go to market, and can sell something which is more complex as the truth has nuance and isn’t simple, the reality we will have to get the client to make hard changes to maintain the relationship and the work I will be doing will involve fixing problems and failed habits

If you can visualise in your mind that when you move from paper to computers things work differently and that rather than physical you identify and map out the data assets within an organisation alongside abstracting how the organisation works; you now work to understand and improve these abstracted models and create options work to solve complex problems in large organisations. Fixing issues and making value takes time but the rewards are immense generally within a large organisation it is a tangled mess of confusion, failed systems and arrogant denial that there are any problems

Business Plans I could make up any old rubbish in that department along with strategic plans I’m not a master at this but I’ve built a few working for a number of my clients and generally got budge: If you need one simply refer to below as an overview

The reality is I need someone with sales savvy/contacts to talk it through and it depends on the sales channel if I’m honest assist and someone who we will work together on this

One business plan or strategic this depends on the sales resource a simple plan might simply be to get 2 reasonably large clients somewhere in the world and in an area where you have the right contacts let’s say Indonesia in a certain market domain let’s say Pharma is where you are strong, we do the analysis and build services and get them to spend 2 million each a year of which your cut is likely to be around 10% or 400k a year in this scenario for building and managing the relationships

2 million isn’t a massive amount on cataloguing data assets and building a couple of data services that won’t buy you a lot if I’m honest, a lot of the big work runs into 100’s of millions the challenge is we are up against big players that’s why I need someone who has contacts and can manage relationships
