Spree Multivendor Marketplace

Project Summary Tango is a marketplace for [Target Audience] to buy and sell [Items]. Tango will host the shops of (1) Brick-and-mortar retailers who buy and sell [Items] for profit (2) private individuals [Items] for sale (3) private collectors optimizing their collection of [Items] All sales through our marketplace are performed by a user type known as Seller. We will launch the marketplace however with only the first category of (1) Retailers. Each seller will upload and manage their inventory, pricing and shipping. Fulfilment is therefore entirely the responsibility of the Seller although part of Tango’s job is to remove ‘friction’ in the fulfilment process by integrating APIs for shipping providers etc. Sellers receive payments directly from customers. Marketplace admin receive commission based on final sale price. The shopping and payment experience will be consistent for each buyer, even if they purchase items from a number of different sellers and check out from a single cart. User Experience will be characterized by a consistent use of Cards for each type of content (Listings, Profiles, Videos, Stories) What We do We help [Target Audience] discover [Items] by bringing the wisdom and expertise of local shops online. We feature hundreds of original stories and videos about [Items]. Inspired by what they watch, our customers browse a personalized marketplace to discover [Items] that will expand their own playing. Because our stories and videos are tightly woven together with marketplace listings we can connect our community to [Items] that closely matches their interests that we derive both from their social activity as well as from their consumption of content on the site. About Tango Tango is currently a team of six: two front-end developers, two content creators and two commercially oriented co-founders with a track record of previous exits. Our developers are capable of capturing and managing technical requirements. We can deliver 90% of the front-end (design, some javascript) experience ourselves. We work with a small group of freelance experts to deliver a performant and consistent (front-end//back-end) user experience.
