write a 600-word job posting for a new CEO of uber.
you'll have to do some wide research reading the best articles you can find about the company over the last year. they've been in the news a lot, and i suggest you start by doing a search of stories by the new york times, the wall street journal, the washington post, fortune, bloomberg businessweek, and forbes, and tech sites like recode and wired.
in addition to some bizarre and crazy behavior by the co-founder and ex-CEO, travis kalanick, the company has gotten itself into trouble on many fronts: sexual harrassment claims and a culture of sexism; alleged intellectual property theft of self-driving car technology by the founder of otto (which uber acquired), who was recently let go; complaints by uber drivers who say the company treats them poorly; its controversial "greyballing" policy in cities where it has met resistance; and a board of directors that increasingly split among kalanick supporters and those who don't want him to return to the company -- ever.
do some research about what executive job postings ("help wanted") look like these days to get a handle on the kinds of things that go into them.
your help wanted: CEO should have the following elements:
*a short section that describes the company and its competitive advantages and disadvantages (including its valuation);
*a much longer and more detailed section that describes some of its recent problems (see above);
*and a long-ish section that lays out the qualifications of an ideal CEO in order to meet the challenges and get this once-promising company back on track with some evidence to shareholders and the public that it has taken its problems seriously and is doing everything within its power to regain trust.
