I am a board certified and fellowship trained ( Harvard Medical School- Mass Eye & Ear Infirmary) ophthalmologist reviewing vision in the oldest old ( 90-105 years) derived from a community practice outside of Houston. I am looking at 156 patients followed longitudinally and in cross section over a period of years for a total of 329 complete ophthalmic examinations . Determining the incidence of blindness, visual impairment, inter-eye asymmetry in vision, diabetes, diabetic eye disease as well as gender differences. I would like to have a biostatistician - preferably a PhD with experience in epidemiology and clinical research protocols analyze the draft data before I seek out further review from my academic colleagues.
