Control the Microsoft Azure Kinect Camera via python script
We need to integrate the Azure Kinect Cam into our python program so we can control the camera parameters (color and depth) and access the image and depth data as numpy arrays.
Tasks:
(- Use one of the existing python wrappers for the Azure Kinect Cam)
- Implement a python script that sets the main camera parameters for color and depth(resolution, framerate, exposure, white balance, gain, depth field of view, eventually other depth controls)
- in the same script, continiously get the image, depth image and pointcloud data out of the camera stream as numpy arrays
- filter the depth data to get a „filled’ depth map
- if not already done by the camera: align the image and pointcloud data to get a corresponding point position for every pixel in the image
