Search and replace data in a file (CSV, XML or XLS) in PHP language Array#1 (music, reggae, guitar, drums, livemusic) Array#2 (children, tivoli, theme park, kids) From WP i get an exported file with 3 fields. For every row (record); #1 contains unique ID #2 contains string_1 #3 contains string_2 If #2 contains string_1 contains Array#1 Then Set #3 = Music If #2 contains string_1 contains Array#2 Then Set #3 = Family When done, write and close file Maybe it´s faster and smarter to read, update and write direct in a MySQL database?

Open folders where the XML, XLS, etc. files are located, read each file sequentially, read through the file until the reading is complete, extract to an array the previously identified text, write in a new record each set of chosen information, repeat the process until you have read all the files
