We are using a Templatic Business Directory theme with several plugins (compatible ones). We have noticed that when a user registers on the website as a 'subscriber', after a couple of minute spent on the website editing one thing or the other (may be their profile or listing), the user automatically gets assigned an 'Administrator' role, in addition to the 'Subscriber' user role. WHich means they can perform any admin task on the website. I have tried troubleshooting this by replicating the site on a test environment, and then deactivated all plugins one after the other, but the problem still persists. Looking for a WordPress expert with Templatic theme knowledge to help fix this problem. More details will be provided upon request. Many thanks.
