Hi. I'm planning on designing a website to advertise rental properties. There will be no direct booking option. The property owners will simply pay to host their advert on the site. So for the website user the search facility will need to be similar to all the usual major booking portals (vrbo, AirBnB etc) but the result becomes direct contact with the owner rather than direct booking through the website. Search results will show available properties for the searched dates, with their prices for those dates. Owners will be responsible for updating photos and information as well as updating the calendar for each property. The owners will pay a yearly subscription to host their property on the site. So in effect the client user experience would be similar to searching in a real estate website. Results would show holiday homes available for rental. The main difference is that as well as search filters for location, price etc. it would also need to be integrated with a calendar so only properties with availability would be shown if dates were entered into the search parameters. For subscribers listing their property they will need to login to edit their property details and update availability. Plus the ability to renew their subscriptions via a payment gateway. The management side will need to produce basic reports such as pending subscription renewals and the ability to activate or deactivate adverts manually, and offer discounted listings to owners. I have designed several websites and feel comfortable with this, but need somebody to deal with the technical side (database).
