Here is an example of cookie stuffing: * The consumer searches Google. * The consumer clicks on a search return in Google going to affiliatesite.com. * When [login to view URL] loads in the browser, there is some coding on the page that causes their affiliate link for the Merchant to be loaded into a browser window. * The affiliate link is tracked as it normally would be and the "click" is tagged as traffic from affiliatesite.com. A cookie is set on the end user's computer for [login to view URL] if the tracking system uses cookies. Here are the features and functions the script should have. 1.
