Add attachments to email sent from Moodle/PHP website

We have a Moodle site which sends out email notifications when a student submits an assignment and another email when the assignment is reviewed. We want both of these emails to have attachments of the submitted documents. Site is in PHP.
See the attached screen shots for examples of when the email is triggered.
If an assignment has more than 1 submitted file, then both files should be attached to the email.
