I am using a tooltip over an image. This, as you know, involves absolute and relative positioning.
So far so good. It works.
I also have an image on top of an image. That also involves absolute and relative positioning.
That also works.
The problem arises when I try to add the tooltip to the image that I am placing inside another image.
Then it no longer works because you have an absolute inside a relative inside an absolute inside a relative.
Anybody have a solution. Willing to pay of course, give me a price.
Will have a larger project soon.
Looks like it won't be doable with pure css and positioning. Why don't you write a script to calculate and apply position coordinates to the third layer dynamically?
Hello,
That definitely sounds like an interesting problem. You could try it like this:
Relative Container => Absolute Image with lowest z-index
=> Absolute Image with higher z-index
=> Absolute tooltip with highest z-index
I'd be happy to take a close look. Do contact me whenever you 're available.
