Hi there, Understood the requirements. Experienced CI developer here. I'd use Tank auth lib for user authentication, use it in all my apps so it's well tested, would use no library for payment processing. I can integrate paypal payments and the amount paid would be credited to users balance. I'm always implementing a base controller when working with CI, as that's the only thing I feel "missing" from initial CI setup. I create MY_Controller in application/core and all controllers extend the MY_Controller (or other variations for easier ACL, eg. Admin_Controller, Users_Controller...). Regards, Julijan
