Clone and simplfy exsisting software for Windows 10

I would like to have an APP that has been discontinued updated and simplified.
I would like it to run on Windows 10 and I want to customise it a little.
Original is called LD Calculator by Paul Pelletier.
This software keeps a database of equipment and its weight.
You can add equipment to a list and it will then print a report of all weights including the total.
Very simple stuff.
