System Description Design web application to handle the various categories of scientific editing (review, translation, recommendations...). The application should handle unlimited number of activities and provide strong framework for both the users and clients. Features and Specifications This web application should have 3 roles which are: Administrator This role should perform the administrative tasks such as: • Define one activity per editor • Define the activity groups/ activity list. • Assign tasks to editor • Define the max number of tasks per editor • Approve the tasks from clients and decide the time interval per task • Monitor the activities of each editor • Perform backup and restore operations • Send invitations to candidates (editors) • Monitor the accepted invitations per interval • Rank the editors according to their experience or resume • Black list of editors (add, remove editors to this list) Editor The dashboard of the editor should have the following: • Editor should upload his/her resume to activate his/her account. • Editor should provide his/her personal data in registration • The dashboard provide the editor with his/her corresponding tasks and its deadline • The editor should decide to accept or reject the assigned task due it deadline • The editor should select one major activity such review, translation… • When the editor completes his task he/she should upload a PDF file and write reasonable comments about it. Client The dashboard of clients should have the following: • The client uploads his/her task as PDF file and decide the required activity • The client should rank the output of the returned result. • Two levels of services.
