Basic Javascript Alternative Broken Image Script

I require a basic html page that auto refreshes every 30 seconds and displays an image file from a network location.
In the event that the network location is unavailable or the source image is not found, I need the page to load an alternative local image in it's place.
The automatic refresh process would still be required after this image swap.
The page will need to run on Ubuntu using the Google Chrome as the preferred browser.
As it the display monitor will not have a keyboard/mouse attached I don't wan't to receive any notifications/popups etc. prompting of any errors as such.
The page should load & refresh seamlessly (subject to the local network speeds.)
