The Vibration 9 website has been built with Joomla and we are happy with it but we want to be able to elevate it to a higher level and also modify some things. We need someone who has passion and will give ideas to make this website more amazing. Basically we want to be able to modify this website all from the admin side of joomla. We want to work with someone who knows how to modify and expand the joomla interface and someone who speaks excellent english and is available to communicate back and forth with the band. Most of the modifications are included below but some ideas will be born after we discuss. So the contract we are looking for is a website revamp in which the coder is proactive, has ideas and is passionate enough to elevate this website to the next level. This is only the beginning for us and might lead a lot more work together.

Here are the different modifications that would have to be implemented first. Then we could move on to greater things. Also, the sections that lack professionalism in their look might have to be revamped.

HOME PAGE:

1-Admin side modifiable website header: It would be nice to be able to modify the website header right from the admin side of Joomla and to upload it over there. It would also be nice to have a possibility to upload it as a jpeg or also a flash file. Right now we can only modify it with the css file I think.

2-In the latest photos module, the photo itself should be clickable to lead to the photo in the photo section.

3-A Latest Videos Module is needed!

4-I want to easily be able to control what appears in the middle of this page from the admin side. For example, I want to be able to put the number of articles I want, and also maybe have one or two main articles at the top, followed by a Recent News section. In the articles, I easily want to be able to edit the text size and font as well as include flash elements, videos, youtube videos, photos and be able to position them freely within the article.

BAND PAGE:

Also, I want to be able to click on a band member photo and be directed to his own page. which also might contain the above elements.

NEWS PAGE:

1-I want to easily be able to control what appears in the middle of this page from the admin side. MUSIC PAGE:

The goal of this page is to be able to add albums from the admin side, to be able to edit the style of the title of the album and the text, to upload a picture for the album and to decide which buttons to apply to the album: itunes, amazon and vibe9 store which in turn will lead the user to the proper websites. The Vibe9 Store button will lead the user to the album in the Vibration 9 store. We must also be able to decide which tracks we want the user to be able to listen to, which tracks we provide lyrics for. Even if we don't enable the user to listen to one track, we must still be able to list it. So we must be able to upload the songs required within the same admin side page. We must be able to do everything for an album right from the admin side of joomla, all in one place. So, in essence, we have the album itself which the user can buy with the different buttons. Then we have the individual songs which the user can also buy with the different buttons. When the user chooses to buy the album or a song through the vibration 9 store, he must be able to download it after purchase and payment via paypal. For the album, the user must also be able to select if he wants the physical version as well so we can mail it to him. Most of the functionality for this page is already here but we want to make it better and more user friendly.

1-The Lyrics box must have a scroll: once the user clicks on a lyrics icon for a song, the lyrics box must have a scroll.

2- The links to the vibe 9 store are not done yet and the download functionality must be available.

3-The whole functionality must be integrated more together in the admin side of joomla: We must be able to do everything in one place.

4-I want the look and feel of this page to be magical and professional.

PHOTOS PAGE:

1-Clickable user: It would be nice to be able to click on the username in the photo and video comments and get to the user’s profile.

2-In photo section the page should not be refreshed or moved every time we click on next picture. This is annoying because when you click on next picture, the page reloads and it cuts the flow of things.

4- Change order of Photo categories: I must be able to change the order of the photo categories.

4-Add image option: The Add Image option in the photo section (where the user can add the image to his blog) should be labelled “Add Image to Blog??

VIDEOS PAGE:

1-Youtube videos: It is important that we have this option to add youtube videos because a lot of bands use youtube and it is easier for them to add videos like this. Also, the iphone can display youtube videos and cannot display flash content.

2-Thumbnails: Even when I added a thumbnail, at the beginning of the video it still says no thumbnail...

3-No modules: I want this section not to have side modules so it can take the whole page and also I want the the width of the video description to adjust to the width of the page so it can be larger.

4-Comments: The comment section in the video and photo sections must look the same and must show the photo of the user who made the comment and his username. We must be able to click on the photo or name to access the user profile. Also, the video comments should only be available to members, just like in the photo section.

5-The look and feel of this page must be more original and professional

CALENDAR PAGE:

-The look and feel of this page must be better and more original and professional, with possible backgrounds, etc.

BLOG PAGE:

1- Here what we want must look like this:

and it must take the whole page (no side modules).

STORE PAGE:

1- Must contain all the Vibration 9 merchandise (t shirts, cds, dvds, etc) and the user must be able to download the songs and albums after payment, we must be provided with shipping info, etc. Payment will be via paypal for now. Must be easy for the user to pay in Canadian or US dollar.

FANS PAGE:

1-User profiles: Check this for a model and interact with it to see how good it is: [url removed, login to view] . What I like about it is that everything is really clearly displayed. Create an account on this website to see how it’s done in the admin side. That is really how I want the Vibration 9 fans page to look. The options listed there must all be available.

2-System emails: I want all users to receive system emails by default but they have to be able to deselect the option when they sign up. They should also be able to change that option in their account at any time.

CONTACT PAGE:

1- We need to control how things appear in this section. For example I might not want a contact list like this with phone numbers etc, but just names linking to the contact form...

2-In the contact form, when you finish sending the message, we have to return to the original screen so that the user can send another member a message if he wants to.

OTHER:

1-I want to be able to control if the different pages of the website have modules or not and also if they don't have modules on the sides, I want to be able to make the desired section take up the whole space.

2-I also want to be able to control the background of pages

3- I also want to be able to change the color and style of the navigation buttons easily.

4-I want this website to be very interactive, so that people who become members can interact easily with each other.
