1. simulator is Simulink (matlab). 2. SS7 simulation in matlab upto ISUP(isdn user part) 3. MTP1 is not necessary as it is physical layer. 4. Two SSP’s will be created as two blocks made in simulink. 5. At least two STP’s will also be created for creating a link between two SSP’s, these will also be simulink blocks capable of receiving signaling info and routing to correct direction.. 6. All the ID’s of SSP (OPC & DPC) and STP will be assumed by your own will. 7. CIC of layer 3 in MSU will be extracted from a self made small database of STP ID’s. 8. Final step would be to create a connection between two nodes using SS7. These two nodes (SSP’s) may be on the same pc or 2nd node can be on the other pc, in the later case we will access ports and transfer info via LAN, remember we are just transferring data via LAN without working on MTP-1. Summary: Ultimately a number would be dialed via a dial pad made in GUIDE (matlab).this would be the called party number. Calling party number can be selected at random. These both will be saved in the SS7 packet. Which will be in ISUP format. All fields would be filled considering a call from a node. The calling party number will be displayed on the destination node (SSP), which is a block created in Simulink on same pc or the other pc. Call will be accepted on the dial pad of the called party, destination SSP (DPC). It will also be released using the release SU. Further details about ANM IAM REL etc can be taken from web resources.
