Create a function that queries an instance of Firefox and determines if a particular URL is held on one of the tabs. If the URL is found on a tab - that tab should be selected and the function return true otherwise return a false. I have been told that accomplishing this behavior for Firefox is not feasible - I'm posting the job anyway in case someone can figure it out. The supplied project approximates the desired behavior when polling multiple instances of IE6. That is, each instance is examined to see if it is holding the desired URL and if so a true returned (which triggers code in URLmatch to bring the browser instance to the foreground) otherwise a false is returned and the processes loop in URLmatch moves on to find additional instance of IE6, if present. If the loop completes with no true value, then IE is launched with the URL as an argument. The sample application is a test app for the behavior. Three similar functions are present in uGetURL, each called for a specific browser identity by selection from a case statement within the the URLmatch function. For purposes of this bid, you are concerned only with modifying the behavior of the function getFirefoxURL. There are two other similar projects up for bid. One to provide similar functionality for the Opera tabbed browser and a third to do the same for the Internet Explorer version 7 browser You are welcome and encouraged to bid (separately) on any combination of the bid requests that you may feel you can handle. The code MUST compile and run in Delphi 5, however I will be migrating to Delphi2006 soon so proven compatibility with D2006 is a plus.
