What i want is a similar solutions as you can find on ninite.com. The webpages should include a management part where we register new applications and what category they sort under. In addition the solutions should have a function that "test" that the link to the programs listed are still valid. If not it should remove the application from the user GUI and post an alert at admin section. It should be made using ASP.NET and will be placed on IIS7. DB is MS SQL. It would be great if the application could be made so that you can choose if users will be registered in DB or use LDAP (Active Directory). THe system will in this phase be an intranet solution that will offer service to users that are logged onto a domain. Later i will set up the site for anonymous web users. THe solution MUST use AJAX to ensure a good user experience. In addition the solution should show a list over the 10 most popular applications based on what people select.
