New Australian charity needs your help! We need an experienced and professional social networking designer + developer to create a customized social networking site; including:
-Member registration and login
-Sitewide theme (css/graphics)
-Custom homepage layouts and design
-Custom heater and footer
-Groups (need to be able to hierarchy; there will be regional ‘zones’ and then groups can form within these zones); a variety of skin options, photo upload, own forums/chat, file upload/share
-Member profile pages, again with a variety of skin options; photo/avatar upload; customizable ‘about’ fields; links to groups they belong to; ability to send an email (to tell/invite friends); strong privacy aspects (ie only invited friends can view profile page)
-Forum page
-Blog page
-Events page with events calender
-Games page
-Competitions page
-‘Vote’ page
-Story page (see someone’s story); will need video
-Page for general information / forms for access
-The site will be for use of children only (under 18 years of age) and will need to be incredibly secure, easy to regulate (from our side), easy to use/navigate (from the kids side) and should have a ‘fun’ design
-We already have a front-end website in development, which is Wordpress-based and is separate to the Social networking area, which will be for logged in members only.
-We are able to provide our logo for incorporation into the site
-We are open to social networking platform used (eg PhPFox, Social Engine, Boonex Dolphin 7, Drupal)
Must have:
-Experience with any of above social networking platforms; including configuring and customizing all core social network mudules/add-ons (front/back); we would appreciate familiarity with the available plug-ins and recommendations for use
-Strong C++, javascript, jQuery, ajax, MySQL, html/css knowledge
-References of previous work as well as to own company/professional website
-Experienced designer
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
-Good interpersonal skills
Being a new charity, we do not yet have a huge budget, but we are hoping there will be opportunities for ongoing work if we like what you can do
