Need someone to create a single VB6 dll ( or module if you aren't able to create a dll ) that have the functions to read and write to the Registry. Nothing difficult about that, then I want to call these functions so that I can select either writing to the Registry or an *.ini file ( because of Vista Problems )
At the moment I use
MyValue? = regQuery_A_Key(HKEY_CURRENT_USER, NewPath, "Data")
I want to use something like this for normal Registry writing ( adding , 0 )
MyValue? = regQuery_A_Key(HKEY_CURRENT_USER, NewPath, "Data",0)
and to use the *.ini file use , 1 like this
MyValue? = regQuery_A_Key(HKEY_CURRENT_USER, NewPath, "Data",1)
Still not a big issue, next, if reading/writing to the *.ini file I need a similar format so that manually looking at the Registry or the *.ini file will look the same structure. So looking at the line, the HKEY_CURRENT_USER can be the actual filename and path of the *.ini file, then the other key and section.
Give me your thoughts and suggestions
Have searched Planetsourcecode and found the below submission that allows reading a Registry folder and all subfolders and turning the values into an *.ini .? Results look fine except for a few required changes eg.
? writes any path with \\ anstead of a single \
<[login to view URL]>
If this can be adjusted to read the registry without exporting the Key and correct the \\ then we are almost there ....
Thanks
