We need a Sales/Purchase Order processing system rewritten based on the functionality of an existing package. The package is no longer supported and the source code is not available, but we can provide a remote login to allow you to run the package and see how the tables are updated. We wish to use the existing MS Access database to allow a smooth transition, and also allow the existing Crystal reports to run. The look and feel is very similar to Sage Line 50 and the package needs to extract data from Sage and post financial transactions into Sage - so knowledge of Sage would be a bonus, though not essential as we are Sage developers and can assist with that part. The package comprises Sales Order, Purchase Order, Invoice, Product, Customer and Supplier modules. Each module has a basic list screen with a criteria screen to filter what is shown in the list, and facilities to Add, Amend, Delete single records, and perform mass changes on the records in the list. In addition there are module specific screens for instance Products has Stock Receipts, and Sales Orders has Allocation and Despatch options. We have coded quite a few of the screens and a certain amount of the business logic, which you are welcome to use (see attached screen shots which are of the new version) either in their entirety or as visual guides. We want to program this in VB6 so we can maintain it ourselves once it is complete, but do not have the manpower to complete this ourselves. Bear in mind that this is a complex business application, and the specification/requirement is that the new version does everything that the old one does both visually and regarding database updates. Thank you for looking ! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
